ENDU Organs

The Egbelu Nguru Development Union (ENDU) serves as the central constitutional and administrative community union, operating in tandem with three foundational community organs to govern the village across its five kindreds. At the peak of traditional authority sits the Obilobi (Council of Elders), an independent judicial body that acts as the supreme customary court and custodian of ancestral rites from their physical seat at the Obiri Obilobi pavilion, at Afo-Egbelu Market Square.

Complementing this traditional framework are two vital demographic assemblies: the Ndom Aladimma, which mobilizes the community's married women to oversee social welfare, moral enforcement, and family mediation, and the Egbelu Nguru Youth Association (ENYA), which drives community security, civic labor, and cultural preservation among the youth.

Beyond its local village structure, ENDU maintains a robust, decentralized global network known as "ENDU Home and Abroad" to ensure continuous communal self-reliance and civic integration. The union mandates the formation of an official branch in any state or country where three or more Egbelu Nguru indigenes reside, resulting in active chapters across Nigerian cities like Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, as well as international branches in the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia. To sustain community development, active participation in these diaspora branches is strictly compulsory; failure to integrate into a local branch results in severe civic penalties, requiring indigenes to pay significant fines before they can exercise traditional village rights or host major family ceremonies back home in Egbelu Nguru.
